Servicing Overview
We offer full support and servicing for all CPTs; from older Autopilot I and II models to newer CPT models. Give us a call if you have any questions at all.

Basic servicing and parts are available for servicing watertight seals, rudder/deadband controls, relays, motors, and clutches. Parts are no longer available for replacing the optical compass or circuit boards.

Inspection Fee
There is a $75 inspection fee for opening, inspecting and diagnostics for the unit. We will provide an inspection report and estimate for any repairs or servicing. Please review our servicing guidelines and contact us before shipping in your autopilot:

Shipments from Canada and international shipments
Please ship "DELIVERY DUTY PAID" and mark the package "RETURN TO MANUFACTURER FOR REPAIR". If not specified otherwise, UPS and other carriers will invoice the recipient for Brokerage Charges, even when there is no tax or duty on the package. This can be $40 or more. We recommend using Canada Post or the US Postal Service because in our experience they do not charge a brokerage fee when no duties are due.Guidelines For Shipping The Autopilot
- Send both the motor and control boxes
- Remove any plugs installed on the power cable
- Do not cut any wires
- Both motor and control boxes should be individually bubble-wrapped, then both units should be bubble-wrapped together, placed in a box, then boxed again surrounded by 2.5" of styrofoam pellets. A UPS store is an easy place to do this.
- It is a good idea to mark the package “fragile” and declare for full value in case of possible shipping damage. Note that most carriers deny damage claims for shipments cushioned with improper materials such as newsprint, t-shirts, etc.

Warranty
New units are warranted for one year against defective materials and workmanship. Repairs are warranted for 90 days parts and labor. The customer is responsible for shipping charges to and from the factory for warranty repairs.
